The exhibition is an opportunity to present and highlight the Loic Allio’s unique collection in the world.
Through a selection of clothing and accessories for male and female, iconic fashion designers, such as: Paul Poiret, Elsa Schiaparelli, Christian Dior, Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier … over 3000 buttons tell their story.

Chronologically organized, it attests to the amazing creativity in the diversity of technics, the most sophisticated are used for this accessory: embroidery, carving, chasing, trimmings …
Mirror of the evolution of knowledge, the most diverse surfaces: porcelain, shell, wood, glass, string, fur, horn, leather, cameo, ceramics, paper mache, nacre … were exploited to work the button.
